How To Cure Ear Infection Without Antibiotics

Ear infections are quite common among adults and children alike. Ear infections often follow colds or sinus infections, and they can be quite painful. There are some home remedies that can provide relief, and sometimes even eradicate the infection. Here are some things to try: Heat Heat can quickly help alleviate the pain of an ear infection. Use a heating pad on a low setting, or put some rice in a sock and microwave it until warm. You might want to try warming a wet washcloth in the microwave. It is important, however, to make sure no water enters the ear. Garlic Garlic is a popular and effective weapon in the fight against infections of any kind. Boil it and put a few drops of the juice in the affected ear. Or puree a clove of garlic, strain it into warm olive oil and put a small amount in the ear, leave for 5 to 10 minutes before allowing it to drain out. Lobelia Lobelia extract is another herbal remedy that can ease the pain of ear infections. Just place a few drops in the ear every few hours. Mango leaf extract Mango leaf extract is another effective remedy for an ear infection. You can make it by grinding and boiling mango leaves. Two to three drops every few hours should provide relief. Colloidal silver Colloidal silver is often used for ear and sinus infections. You can use it as an ear wash or administer it orally. Probiotics. These "good" bacteria can sometimes fight off the bad bacteria that cause an ear infection without any other treatment. Probiotics are also helpful in the prevention of ear infections when administered regularly. White vinegar Mix a solution of white vinegar and water and pour in ear. Let it sit for 1 minute then pour out and do same for other ear. Ruda Plant Dip it with a little rubbing alcohol and half cotton ball and leave it in the ear while you are asleep. Salt water rinse Mix 1 teaspoon salt to 1 cup lukewarm/warm water. Use an ear wash syringe and squirt the salt water into the ear until you've finished the whole cup. Do this 3-4 times a day and in 2-3 days your ear is cleared up. Contrary to popular belief, an ear infection doesn't always require treatment with antibiotics. In fact, many doctors are now hesitant to prescribe antibiotics unless the infection is in the middle or inner ear. Trying home remedies first may save you a trip to the doctor and if antibiotics are necessary, home remedies can still provide pain relief. toddler ear infection double ear infection baby ear infection remedies infant ear infection home remedy infant ear infection relief preventing ear infections in toddlers what to do if baby has ear infection ear infection treatment toddler About Ebestproducts: Ebestproducts is here to help you live life to the fullest.
